Interfraternity Council

University of Wisconsin Madison

What is IFC?

Interfraternalism is the action of different fraternities coming together as a community. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is a self-governed, student run organization at the University of Wisconsin and, as a team, we work as a medium between fraternities and the school to help each member become the best version of himself both academically and socially. We promote academic excellence, ethnic, cultural, and racial awareness and, community service and philanthropy.

Fraternities Give Back

Every year, hundreds of children dress up in costumes and come to the Langdon St. neighborhood for Trick or Treat with the Greeks. Children are assigned to a group, lead by a Greek student guide, who will walk from chapter house to chapter house engaging in activities along the way. With the help of the Boys & Girls Club of Madison, Greek chapters work together to plan festive activities such as cookie decorating, bobbing for apples, decorating one another as mummies and much more!
