The Interfraterinty (IFC) community is made up of 27 different chapters that provide brotherhood, leadership, scholarship and social opportunities. Each chapters has its own personality, history and membership experiences, we encourage all perspective members to research and learn more about each chapter before recruitment.

Unrecognized Fraternities
The Interfraterinty Council and the 27 associated chapters are recognized as registered student organizations (RSO) at UW – Madison. As a RSO and member of IFC chapters receives the benefits of all other students organization such as access to campus room reservations, opportunities to receive RSO grant funding, campus advising and more. Each chapter also subscribes to the RSO guidelines, rights and responsibilities of the institution. IFC and UW Madison administration work together to keep the IFC community safe by holding chapter accountable when necessary through Committee of Student Organization (CSO) conduct process and/or IFC judicial board process.
The chapters listed below not currently in good standing due to Committee on Student Organizations sanctions or IFC Council. IFC does not encourage holding membership in and joining unrecognized group. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Fraternity and Sorority Life office advisor@greeklife.wisc.edu.
